Products Made with Rainwater...
With a collection basin of 90,000 liters in our first hall and a 100,000-liter basin in our newest hall, we collect an impressive amount of rainwater. This water serves as the foundation for all our cleaning products. The benefits?
- We do not need to use valuable drinking water.
- We purify rainwater with our own professional filtration system, improving its quality and making it more stable than average tap water.
Additionally, we relieve the sewage system by allowing excess rainwater from heavy showers to seep into our green zones.
... and with Renewable Energy
Solar panels and a heat pump provide the necessary energy for our production hall. Moreover, we reduce our energy needs for lighting and heating with skylights and optimal insulation.
Lema as a Zero-Waste Company
There is no production waste at Lema. In other words, we don't release a single drop into the environment or sewage system; even our rinse water is reused.
Our 'Zero Waste' Approach
Lema follows a strict 'zero waste policy.' While we are not required to take back all of our packaging (only after reaching a certain minimum amount), we consider it a point of pride. This way, you won’t be left with waste, and we ensure that every package gets a second life. We reuse some of our bottles and grind the rest into raw materials for new products, such as garden benches. We sort our cardboard and films and sell them to partners who recycle and reuse them.
Everything Is Digital
Lastly, everything we do is digital — from ordering to invoicing. As a customer, you can log into our system and download the necessary sheets. This helps us avoid paper waste.
